My role, over the 20 years as a colourist, has been to work creatively with the Director of Photography. My responsibility is to capture the Director of Photography’s creative intentions in the digital world. My role has always demanded that I stay contemporary and knowledgeable about emerging technology, acquisition formats and post-production tool sets. In the past few years technology has changed dramatically, away from film to data acquisition.
