I am a Compliance and Ethics Professional, living with a hearing-impairment disability, who is passionate about governance, education, development, and corporate social investment. I love analyzing and solving problems. I am highly organized, methodical and have passion for quality work. My current role as a Compliance Administration Officer entails compliance monitoring, analysis of new laws and complaints management. I have worked as a Programme Coordinator Trainee for SAADP under Sasria SOC Ltd for 18 months and have a good understanding of the systems and procedures that make the company run smoothly. In my position at SAADP, I have made several contributions to the projects we undertake and have been commended by my superiors for innovative and time-saving solutions. For example- Drafting the governance policy for the organisation - Implementing the POPI Act within the organisation - Creating and maintaining the Compliance Register - Coordinating students' workshops. What separates me in the corporate and from my peers, is that I can easily adjust to new environments and work well under pressure with competing priorities. I have an ability to lead and motivate a team. I can also welcome new challenges with a “can-do” attitude, I stand by what I believe (tenacious) and can use time efficiently by planning and setting attainable goals. I serve as volunteer board member for the student enterprise program at Africa Leadership Academy since 2019/2020 academic year to present. I have also been selected to be part of the Business Advisory Board (BAB) for Enactus SA, at the Wits University Club since July 2020 to present. I hold the designation Business Accountant (SA) by virtue of South African Institute of Business Accountants (SAIBA). I am also an Affiliate member of Compliance Institute Southern Africa (CISA). Prior my current employment, I was exposed to tax consulting by a General Tax Practitioner, with guidance to different tax types, laws and regulations. I aspire to be a Governance Specialist with extensive regulatory and legal compliance experience.
