About Tia Collier

I strongly believe in the transformative power of education, encompassing not only formal learning but also the exchange of ideas, exploration of new perspectives, and broadening of one's horizons. My professional journey has been rooted in the field of education, ranging from college preparatory initiatives and teaching in middle school to advancing education policy as a senior Congressional staffer and leading school-centered community development efforts for a university. Currently, I oversee a portfolio of education research and policy projects at a non-partisan think tank and also provide consultancy services for education and youth development initiatives. Throughout my career, I have consistently acted as a catalyst for knowledge and positive change. As a second generation education professional, I am driven by a passion to expand opportunities and dismantle barriers that impede progress and success, particularly for marginalized groups.
