About Tia Jackson

As a Member Engagement Associate at NACD, I support executives and board of director members across the globe through corporate governance education. For aspiring directors, I am empowered daily through stewardship of a two-year board-readiness program, coined Accelerate (focused on director education and candidacy). A key component to these efforts is my dedicated service to the community of Certified Directors through the NACD Directorship Certification program. I also serve as a board advisor for not-for-profit board directors, providing tailor-made support and advisory services. Leaning more into member data/insights is crucial to help board members and aspiring directors achieve their professional goals, showcase their commitment to continuing education, and ultimately achieve the gold standard for service at the board level. I have gained extensive customer service skills and experience from working in different industries, such as retail, hospitality, construction, and pharmaceuticals. I have successfully handled diverse and challenging customer needs, exceeded sales and retention targets, led and collaborated with teams, improved processes and procedures, and adapted to changing environments. I have a BA degree in Fashion Merchandising from Virginia Commonwealth University, and I am currently acquiring a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the Pennsylvania State University. I am passionate about empowering directors and transforming boards to be future ready!
