About Tia Sulunga

Grew up in the concrete/landscaping trade. My father was a GC who introduced me to construction management as a path. He was a concrete/landscaping contractor that consistently won city, county and state subcontracts for both trades. I've been able to accumulate experience in construction admin support, safety compliance, GC prequalification's, preconstruction administration which include ITBs, subcontractor vetting, working with estimators on takeoffs for bids, proposals through contract award and kick off. Post award experience is in project coordination, scheduling, contract administration, submittals, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, change orders, project management to include CPMs, payment requests, conditional/unconditional lien releases, document control for infrastructure projects, PEMB general contractors and various trades. My education was streamlined to support all of these positions. I currently am a certified instructor for Adult First Aid/AED/CPR. I also have my OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certifications. My current role expands my experience into project controls, proposing and implementing efficient processes and recovering the backlog of unpaid funding as well as implementing project controls to streamline processes while minimizing risks.
