About Tiana Kraus

Tia Kraus, MSW, is an indigenous school social worker in interior Alaska with several years experience working in a Title One School. She has experience working in the field of social services, primarily with children dealing with complex trauma and trauma-informed organizations. She is ambitious, a mentor, a club leader (Sources of Strength), and a positive role model for our youth. I am currently working towards my clinical licensing (LCSW). I have experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, LBTQ+, and transgender clients. I incorporate a collaborative therapeutic approach that is person-centered, strength-based, and promotes autonomy that honors the individual. My eclectic approach is crafted to help each individual get what they need in a supportive and understanding environment. Types of therapies utilized include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and Person Centered Therapy. My practice is centered around children and teens struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. My goal is to create a safe and healing environment that promotes self realization and growth.
