About Ticia Simon

I have originally started as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) going to school through the Army's LPN program; having joined the Army Reserves in 2014. During my time in the Army I have been in a squad leader position, allowing me to build leadership amongst my peers. In the civilian sector (2015-2016), I worked as an LPN in a skilled nursing facility managing 18 patients' medications/assessments/wound care at a time with delegation to the CNAs for help. I later worked as an LPN in an orthopedic clinic (2016-2018) providing technical and nursing tasks to support physicians of the Orthopaedic Surgery Service to include: prepping patients for steroid injections, sterile procedures and pre-/post-operative appointments. During this experience I has the opportunity to establish an Osteoporosis Clinic and coordinate care for patients, to include administration of intra-muscular injections. During all of this I was moving toward getting my Bachelor's in Nursing and began at Seattle University in 2018 with an ROTC Scholarship. This ROTC Scholarship allowed me to take classes that further continued my development as a leader and will allow me to continue serving in the Army Reserves as a commissioned officer.
