About Tien Davis

After 13 years working in public education as a teacher, I moved into the mental health sector as a School Counselor in 2017 after completing my M.Ed. In educational psychology. My goal is to one day move into a role as a College and Career Readiness Coordinator to inspire young people to pursue higher education. I am an energetic leader who enjoys working with children. A few of my qualities include: excellent communicator/relationship-builder; highly organized and systematic planner and scheduler; strong problem solving skills; high quality performance in academic/behavioral intervention services and support for all students (K through 12). Always looking to improve upon myself and learn new techniques while being a team player at all times. I am an avid mental health advocate who works tirelessly to reduce the stigma on mental health. I am a nationally certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor (National Council on Mental Well-Being) training all professionals who work with our youth on how to assist when they are experiencing signs and symptoms of a mental health challenge or crisis.
