About Tierney Verderami

For over a decade, I have had the privilege of working with individuals and families in communities across Los Angeles and New York City who have faced mental health and substance misuse challenges, often compounded by experiences of homelessness and involvement with the justice and child welfare systems. Their stories of pain, resilience, and recovery have deeply motivated my work to expand access to trauma-informed, inclusive mental health and substance misuse services for communities impacted by systemic oppression. With experience in clinical and administrative roles across non-profit organizations and in educational and private practice settings, I am deeply committed to creating affirming and accessible care. I earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and School Counseling Graduate Certificate from the University of Southern California. I'm licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both New York and New Jersey and also hold certification as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor.
