About Tierra Ford

My adult career began when I was 15 and a half. I was working in a grocery store as a Cashier and eventually moved into Stock, that lasted for about 4 years before I needed to have a full time job with benefits. From there I moved on to manufacturing I was at that company for about 4 years as well. In the time that I was in the mustard business I went from production associate to line Leader to sanitation Associate to Sanitation Lead - all during my employment I was a licensed forklift operator and first responder as well- I eventually ended my run with that company as I felt there were no other positions or advancement that was available to me. I then moved onto the automotive manufacturing, I was there for about 3 years when I decided to take my life to Florida to help a family member. The time I was in Florida I was Central Supply in a nursing home, I was working a 1 person operation and was in charge of ordering the facilities supplies and rental equipment, budget balancing and also Hurricane Preparedness. Once I was able to come back home to Ohio I then landed my current position which is a Customer Care Specialist with Assurant. In High School I had attended a Career Tech school where my education revolved around Multimedia arts where I had hands on training for webpage design, graphic design, photography and videography. In my time in the multimedia Program I had achieved many accomplishments I am most proud of my certifications I had received in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Dreamweaver, and many more. But the most important certification of all would be my High School Diploma. Life update June 2023: I'm still employed with Assurant as a Customer Care Specialist. In my spare time I have been learning and loving the Data Analysis course with Google. I was just browsing potential careers one day and came across Data Analyst and truthfully, I've been hooked ever since. I am working towards completing my certificate to maybe one day become a Data Analyst. November 2024: I received a promotion within Assurant in June of 2023 when I became a Virtual Inspector. In this new role I am with customers conducting home inspections, virtually! This new position has been such a joy as I get to see and experience new and exciting things on a daily basis!
