With sixteen-plus years in higher education, she holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Robert Morris University. Dr. Boury has received both the Excellence in Teaching Award and the Excellence in Service Award from Franciscan University for her dedication to her work. Her research focuses on developing student engagement opportunities through cultural immersion in international placements. As the Senior International Officer for Global Academic Partnerships, Dr. Boury has collaborated to create opportunities for faculty and student engagement in various countries. These opportunities foster pathways for faculty research and faculty-led study abroad, cultural exchange, and online course development. Dr. Boury is a member of AIE (Association of International Education Administrators) and participated in the NAFSA Academy for Global Education as a cohort member for 2022-2023. She has been selected as a High Impact Scholar with Abilene University for the 2022-2024 academic year and completed the AIEA Academy for Senior International Officers in May 2024. Additionally, she has worked as a consultant with the Catholic University of Erbil, Iraq.
