About Tiffany Wicks

As an experienced counselor, I have worked with different populations across the lifespan, specializing in young adults, life transitions, and relationship issues. I have the business and financial acumen gained from supporting birthing people to empower themselves as they face new life transitions. I am passionate about training professionals about the mental health needs of birthing families and how to provide empathetic care that has led to mentoring professionals. My research focuses on patient self-advocacy for improving Black maternal health outcomes. I am an adjunct for graduate counseling programs focused on research in the fields of mental health and health advocacy.I have created syllabi for graduate level counseling course and virtually trained and engaged classes using remote online learning platforms as Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, managing course work through online platforms as the Canvas, Blackboard. Adaptable social scientist with 7 years of experience in qualitative research, literature reviews, data collection - coordination, monitoring, tracking, training professionals in data collection administration. Conceptualized, developed and fulfilled qualitative studies with an ability to develop data visualization and infographics, as evidenced by publications and 2 successfully completed qualitative studies. Strong communication skills to simplify and convey complex concepts across diverse audiences and mentor professionals as evidenced by many publications and presentations.
