I am the stone my patients cannot get rid of. I love working in dialysis and taking care of my patients. I enjoy taking time to pass on the knowledge and the information that I feel is important for them to continue to thrive and live their best lives. I am always looking to advance and learn new skills that will assist in better care for my patients, and then pass that along to my co-workers. I have worked in healthcare since 2010, I began as a certified nursing assistant, at various nursing homes. I enjoyed my time there and the experiences that came from assisting the residents that I took care of. When My family began to grow and the dynamics were changing I transitioned into dialysis at a local outpatient center in 2015 and have been there since. I am the senior technician in my clinic with a dual role, I function as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician-Advanced (CCHT-A) and the Biomed Technician for my office. I am considered a member of management and have leadership over the other technicians. I work with the charge nurses and unit manager, along with all other staff. I am responsible for patient care and am scheduled on the treatment floor, I also have office days where I maintain and order the supplies and medications for the office, I maintain and repair our dialysis machines, and I do reporting and audits. I am currently attending Pennsylvania College of Technology with the intent to earn a degree in nursing, my goals are to continue to provide the best care I can for my patients.
