When I was a little child, I always dreamed of becoming a postman. It amazed me how mail from all over the world could be delivered to us. However … I was afraid that I could not remember all the names of everyone within the city, so a dream was shattered. Later on, it interested me how mail from Africa was delivered at our house. How do they do that? That’s where it all began! After finishing my education program of Industrial Engineering (Technische Bedrijfskunde) at the university of applied science, where elements like Purchasing, Sales, Production (optimalisation), and logistics were key, I had an enormous general knowledge concerning the technical as well as the commercial side of companies. However, I felt a strong urge to know more about logistics. Directly after completing my Bachelor of Engineering (BENG) degree in 2011, I started with the Master program Operations Management and Logistics at the Eindhoven University of Technology where I mastered myself in Operations management, BPM, Transportation and Logistics, Manufacturing Systems, Supply Chain Management, Strategic sourcing, Service Engineering, Planning and Control systems, Retail operations and so forth. Furthermore, in my spare time I like to work with children. I am a volunteer at Scouting at which I support a group of 25 children (11yr-13yr) and also being a board member. I am also a volunteer at a kids holiday week ‘OkieDokieDorp’ in Wijchen. Every year, 750 children and up to 330 volunteers enjoy a week full of activities (theater, outdoor activities, swimming, building huts, crafting and other activities for children). Therefore, I cannot sit back and watch. I am a pro-active, enthusiastic and result-oriented young graduate.
