About Tilman Bona

So, is there such a thing as a collaboration nerd? According to some, there may be at least one - and that would be me: A person who gets nerdy about all the awesome collaboration methods they can learn about, the science behind it and optimizing approaches to apply it highly effectively may be considered a “collaboration nerd”. I moved from the Ruhrpott to Munich specifically to study mechanical engineering – thinking that I would eventually build robots. However, my focus has shifted somewhat and now I design teams and collaborations with an emphasis on triggering transformational journeys. But what brings everything to life is when people come together – as individuals, with their ideas, like instrument voices in a band playing together in perfect harmony. Here is how it comes together for me: Collaboration at work should be like playing in a band: Listening highly attentively, being in the moment, contributing to the groove, staying open to improvise and lead when there is an opportunity. I'm strilled when team members collaborate well!
