About Tim Allaire

I began my working career at age 14 as a caddy at a local country club. I then spent a total of around 6 summers with a local catering company. During my time there, I was enabled to see every single aspect of the operations of the company on a daily basis. I was able to hold a handful of positions within the company over the years, including operation staff, kitchen staff, and was in charge of training any new staff. Eventually, I grew into the role of event manager and was in a position of overseeing events of anywhere from 50 to 500 people. During my last two summers with the company, I was able to tie all company sectors together through my accounting intern position. In this position, I had a wide variety of responsibilities and was elected to the Product Cost Reduction Committee. While holding this position, I was in charge of analyzing supplier food and supply costs in order to lower production costs and increase gross margins within our company. This past summer, I was an accounting intern for a small accounting firm in Chicago, Illinois. Here, I assisted in bank reconciliations, book recreation for clients, tax returns, and an audit for the Chicago Firefighters Union. I take a lot of pride in the companies I have worked for, and can say with complete confidence that they have truly become a part of who I am. I could not be more thankful for the opportunities I have been given, and for the mentors of mine that have helped me along the way.
