About Tim Bal

Primarily, I am a research and data science consultant. With my main education in Theoretical and Experimental Psychology and Statistical Data Analysis, I have a strong foundation how to formulate problems into specific, non-ambiguous questions and hypotheses, transform these into practical designs, correctly analyze these, and provide solutions. With my expertise as a Teaching Assistant, I have learned how to communicate complex and difficult concepts to non-experts in clear, understandable language. I learned to think out of the box and develop efficient and elegant solutions, from theoretical concepts to software programs, both through my education as through my experience as self-employed statistical consultant. Throughout the years, I mastered important languages and skills in software engineering, going from R and Python for essential coding to AWS and Azure for architectural solutions. Combining several domains of expertise, I am known for providing all-in-one solutions. If you think that several profiles are needed for a task, often most of these profiles are combined in 1 person: Me! People describe me as logic and practical, persistent in solving problems, independent, and serious mindset with a slightly eccentric twist. I am always looking for challenges and never want to stop learning.
