Tim BaldockDirectorTim is one of the co-directors of Scully & Baldock Ltd and has lived in the local area all of his life, married with two boys that have now flown the nest and four grandchildren, the two youngest, both girls, the apples of his eye. In his younger days Tim was a enthusiastic amateur sportsman playing both football and cricket most weekends and then rugby until his mid forties when the aches and pains on a Sunday morning were no longer nullified by the socialising enjoyed with the opposition on a Saturday evening. Tim still enjoys watching both his son's and two grandson's play rugby on Saturday afternoons, and of course the obligatory socialising that follows.Tim has been married for over 35 years to wife Aileen, his soul mate, best friend and confidante, who also enjoys watching her boys play rugby, or is it just the excuse needed to enjoy the post match socialising and spending quality time with her two granddaughters.Following personal loss of both parents to Dementia he was grateful that his parents had taken out funeral plans detailing exactly what both wanted at their funerals, to the extent that his father had arranged for a small brass band to play at his service. This was because of the James Bond film "Live & Let Die" and the opening scene that he'd seen many years earlier. Fortunately his siblings and his parents discussed the issues that affected their latter years and Lasting Power of Attorneys were taken out for each of their parents, for both Financial & Property, and Health & Welfare. When Dementia took away the ability to deal with day to day matters of both his parents, that we all take for granted, he and his siblings were able to continue with his parents affairs. The only issue the family had was to sell the family home to contribute towards their parents on-going care and with the LPA's in place, the property was sold with minimal effort, it would have been very different and time consumming had these documents not been in place. Also his parents would have been placed in different care homes as their medical conditions differed until such time as the property had been sold and funds for there care released, this despite being married in excess of 50 years.
