About Tim Cecil

Tim is a Global C-level executive with over twenty-five years of experience in strategy, finance, and risk management. He has led teams of culturally diverse professionals across multiple geographic locations. Tim joined Pepper Financial Services Group in their Sydney office in 2013 as the Group's Chief Risk Officer. Having relocated to Hong Kong and now based out of Seoul as the President, Tim has led the global build-out of Pepper’s risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity teams. He has also been instrumental in building the treasury, corporate finance, and the firm's strategic direction, including corporate development, internal acquisitions, capital markets financing (debt, equity, and Initial Public Offerings) and strategic projects. Pepper has USD 75 billion of assets under management with employees across Australasia, Asia, and Europe. Before joining Pepper, Tim was a Boston-based investment advisory firm's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Tim was the Group Chief Risk Officer based in Switzerland for an NYSE-listed global reinsurance company and the Group Chief Risk Officer based in Bermuda for a global multi-strategy offshore hedge fund for primary investor Berkshire Hathaway. Tim has also held senior capital markets positions and is an experienced investment banker, having worked in New York and London in originating and syndicating structured finance transactions. Tim is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School and holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Strategic Management from IE Business School and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
