Rewarding 30-year career with AHS (Alberta Health Services), the most recent 8 years as a Project Team Lead, coaching and leading a dedicated team of 5 - 9 Furnishings & Equipment planning staff. Over 20 years in Clinical Engineering and 11 with Furnishings & Equipment Planning. Experience working with various levels of government, leadership, architects, and Clinical end-users. Broad experience collaborating with healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds, project design teams, and vendors & manufacturers on projects ranging from $2K to $180MM. Process-oriented mindset, inclined to visualize and comprehend the entire project lifecycle/workflow. My approach revolves around optimizing processes to save time and effort, all while effectively managing associated budgets, timelines, and staff assignments. Strong familiarity with medical equipment, space planning, drawing review and workflow optimization. Wide range of equipment knowledge from simple IV pumps to MR Linac’s in the Calgary Cancer Centre. Proficient with multiple build project delivery models including Design Build, Design Bid Build, and Contract Management. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS Worked on the design of Calgary Cancer Centre, starting as an Equipment Specialist responsible for capturing building requirements, assisting in specifications and writing/editing Schedule of Requirements. Evolved into a lead position overseeing a small team completing a successful design of a complex building from a clinical standpoint. Worked on several RFP committees both as an Equipment Expert designing evaluation criteria and as a scoring member. These RFPs resulted in contracts ranging from $200K to $12MM.
