From the outset as the sole Database Administrator to my current role leading a diverse and dynamic team, I have been at the forefront of expanding our data infrastructure to support a myriad of critical projects, always with an eye towards innovation and efficiency. My expertise spans query tuning, ETL, T-SQL, AWS Cloud, data warehouses, and data analytics. In recent years, my focus has shifted towards modernizing how data is accessed and utilized across the organization with the latest tools and technologies, simultaneously advancing our data governance to ensure responsible and secure data management. Beyond the realm of technical skills, my approach to leadership is centered on cultivating a team environment that values collaboration, ingenuity, and a positive spirit, especially when navigating high-stakes projects. This ethos is further exemplified in my work with artificial intelligence, including the development of machine learning solutions in AWS SageMaker and the creation of a captioning system employing OpenAI’s Whisper model for natural language processing.
