Background

About Tim Collins

I’m a Marine veteran and program leader with over a decade of experience spanning defense intelligence operations, technical program management, and enterprise technology. My domain expertise runs through C-UAS, RF technologies, electronic warfare, and SIGINT; built first as leader of Marines and deepened through years of SETA-level work on Army modernization programs. I understand how requirements get generated, how acquisitions get shaped, and how programs succeed or stall based on the relationships built around them.Mid-career, I deliberately moved into the commercial sector to sharpen my business development and technical solutioning skills — closing $6M in enterprise ACV at Salesforce and earning recognition as a technical win leader. I came back to defense with a clearer understanding of how to position complex solutions, build stakeholder buy-in, and drive program growth.I hold a PMP, a Georgetown Master’s in Applied Intelligence, and am currently completing a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering to formalize the technical foundation I’ve been building operationally for over a decade.I’m actively targeting Program Manager and Director-level roles within the defense technology industry where technical depth, executive communication, and business growth all matter.
