About Tim Custer

My military engineering skills are all related to civil Engineering. But the skills are learned on-the-job through military experience without the civilian credentials, degrees or certificates that employers require. I'm a "Combat" engineer who's managed to work his way into civil engineering, and loving it. My civilian experience is in Social Services field, and is a little obsolete (left it in 2009 to get a Masters Degree). My combination of skills and experience now puts me at the Mid to Upper level management areas. So now I'm over qualified for the jobs available, and getting beat-out for the higher ones because employers are wanting 3-4 years of industry-specific experience. Lot's of variety in experience and training. Enough that I can learn most any electronic system or regulation procedures. Employers seem to be looking for those who already know those procedures.
