About Tim Donckers

Experienced Leader with more than two decades of experience in retail, project management, and business development. My journey began as a lead designer for specialty food stores and coffee shops, focusing on creating environments optimized for retail success. This involved demographic analysis, real estate strategy, and nationwide expansion planning. I also gained experience in merchandising, vendor relations, store procedures, and corporate policy refinement while working as a Business Manager for a retail consulting company. Subsequently, I ventured into civil engineering design, contributing to over 50 expansion projects for Target Stores, involving site assessments, remodel plans, design strategies, and entitlement coordination. In 2007, I joined pb2 a+e, where I focused on entitlement and design coordination for the Walmart Stores Program. In 2012, I joined Walmart as Manager of Building Shell Design for Walmart U.S. Within two years, I transitioned to the Merchandising PMO Team, leading initiatives to enhance sales and customer perception by transforming store spaces. Over six years, I built a team of project management professionals who have since advanced to leadership positions within the company. In 2020, I took on a significant role in designing and constructing Walmart's new home office campus in Bentonville, spanning 350 acres and 2 million square feet. I managed the PMO, overseeing design, workstream coordination, executive reviews, and budget preparations. Following this, I was tasked with focusing on technology program and product management for the new campus. This entailed overseeing strategy, selection, budgeting, and deployment of smart building technologies for corporate facilities, with a strong emphasis on driving operational efficiency. My diverse background and experience provide a comprehensive understanding of how retail businesses succeed, from conceptual design and construction to operational excellence.
