About Tim Drury

Accomplished risk management professional with experience establishing, implementing and managing effective risk control programs for P&C, professional liability, workers compensation and auto risks. Proven skills developing risk management content in writing, training and public speaking. I believe in order to build relationships and better understand the unique risks of our members, you have to walk in their shoes. So, I've been "tased," pepper sprayed, and am familiar with the sweet aroma of a waste water treatment plant on a warm summer day. I hold the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and the RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) designation from the Risk Management Society. I like to talk and have been a frequent speaker at state conferences and workshops such as the Association of Indiana Counties and Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (formerly the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns), on all things local government risk management related. I am proud to be a Titan, graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University. I am a member of Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA), Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), ASTM International, the National Safety Council, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). Because local governments continually strive to make their communities vibrant and attractive places to live, they keep finding ways to do more for their citizens while tightening their budgets. This has led to my involvement with ASTM, working to develop standards which affect local governments. Recently I've had the opportunity to work with standards on inflatables,(bounce houses) water slides and drones. There is never a dull day in risk management!
