About Tim Dutton

Tim Dutton is the Senior Director of Commercial Excellence and Corporate Affairs at Intellijoint Surgical, a leading Canadian medtech business that develops technologies to improve patient outcomes in joint replacement surgery. In this role, he is responsible for strategy, marketing, customer success, stakeholder relations, and public policy. Prior to this, Tim worked in increasingly senior roles in the Office of the Premier of Ontario, serving most recently as the Premier’s Director of Policy. He was responsible for all initiatives related to innovation and economic development, education and talent, and technology and service modernization. His work includes the creation and launch of Ontario’s Life Sciences Strategy, Intellectual Property Action Plan, and Digital and Data Strategy. Tim is a member of the Government of Ontario's AI Expert Working Group and is an Advisory Board Member at the Brampton Venture Zone and The Dais at Toronto Metropolitan University. He previously worked on Canada’s National AI Strategy at the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR). He holds a Masters of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto and Bachelor of Arts from Colby College.
