About Tim Erny

As CIO and Director of Information Technology, I am responsible for the establishment and execution of AHRQ’s enterprise-wide IT strategy, and ensuring its alignment with the agency's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success. I am directly responsible for the development and maintenance of Agency-wide web based applications that support AHRQ’s mission to produce evidence to make health care safer, higher quality, more accessible, equitable, and affordable, and to make sure that the evidence is understood and used. I am also responsible for defining and establishing software standards and processes for managing software development activities across Office/Centers and Agency programs to ensure compliance with software development methodologies and Departmental and Federal IT directives and standards.
