About Tim Fry

Tim is a practice-orientated PhD student at the University of Reading, focusing on modes of governance to speed equitable food systems transformations. His research facilitates systems innovation by developing multi-actor & cross-level understanding of collective food system challenges and common goals. Tim's research utilises process-orientated MEL, participatory reflective and anticipatory multi-actor practices to stimulate collective agency in the face of co-identified challenges. Tim coordinates provincial and district-level Rural Innovation Hubs in South Africa to bring actors together to solve critical questions and co-formulate activities and interventions to utilise access to diverse skills, resources, and knowledge. Tim has also led process-driven and outcome-orientated monitoring, evaluation and learning for the Long-Term EU AU Partnership for Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture, International Research Consortium, Pan-African Network for the Economic Analysis of Policies(PANAP), Fairtrade, and Street Child, and continues to work with European and African organisations to link multi-scalar communication processes to scale innovations.
