When I worked for TJ Maxx, I was the Back Room Coordinator. This Job was a Team Leader responsible for receiving Daily Palleted deliveries from 4-12 Pallets of merchandise. All this merchandise had to be sorted, priced security tagged, folded and put out on the sales floor in the same day it was received. This took a team of 9-12 people, of which I was in charge of. This taught me how to organize, schedule, and plan accordingly per the holiday and per the workflow requirements needed to get the job done. When I worked for Office Depot, I was the Lead Technician. This position was not only a Lead Sales Position, but also the guy that fixed your computer. Troubleshooting was the name of the game. Taking a computer apart, finding out the issues and the most cost effective way to approach a solution. Ultimately I left this position because the Lead Sales part- I was asked repeatedly to sell Gaming PC's to Grandma who only wanted to keep in touch with her grandkids. I do have some morals. Though this position taught me time management as well as the ability to sway customers when absolutely necessary. My most recent position as a Store Manager for Batteries Plus was a cross between the two. Technical advice- Because we Fix Phones, Tablets and the occasional Computer (I am Very well versed in both the Hardware and Software on Windows PC's as well as Android Operating systems. I am Learning Mac and Chromebook applications)- As a Store Manager I talk to Vendors, Order Merchandise, and being that I work at a Franchise location- I set Prices, Being sure to retain margin on the sales. I also communicate with Commercial accounts and organize Accounts receivable for those who have Net Terms and payment plans. I set the Schedule for the store and aid the owner in managing the cash flow.
