About Tim Garlick

Tim is a senior programme manager with extensive successful delivery experience of major business and IT transformation programmes. His experience has been gained in a variety of organisations: Phoenix Wealth, AXA group of companies, Old Mutual, American Express & IBM. He has international exposure having worked in the USA, South Africa and India. Tim is presently engaged in a significant transformation programme to integrate the Investment Operations arm of AXA Wealth into the Phoenix Group following the acquisition of AXA Wealth by Phoenix. The programme includes reform of business processes, a major IT migration coupled with a people transformation project. Previously Tim has been responsible for the delivery of numerous IT and business change projects - delivering to the Fund Administration function within AXA. In 2011, Tim managed a major programme to migrate Fund Administration services from AXA to Friends Life following a business transfer between the companies. In 2010, Tim managed a transfer of long-term insurance business (under Part VII of the FSMA statute) between AXA and Friends Life where he was accountable for the delivery of all the operational requirements of the statute, passing FSA reviews and ultimately receiving sanction of three transfer schemes from the High Court. The role required extensive leadership across numerous functional teams (IT, Legal, Marketing etc) and external advisors and stakeholder management to CEO level. Previously, Tim was Head of IT Delivery Services at AXA where he had responsibility for delivering IT development and test infrastructure and services to all IT change programmes across AXA UK. His team comprised c.100 IT professionals in the UK and India; annual budget £10M. Specialties: Programme management. Stakeholder management to CEO level.
