About Tim Gentle

As CEO and General Manager of Australian IT Services, I lead a team that specialises in critical environment cleaning for some of the most trusted names in tech, finance, retail, government, healthcare and education. From data centres to hospitals, our patented tools, anti-static chemicals, and proven processes help mitigate downtime, extend equipment life, and support the safe delivery of digital services across Australia. Our highly experienced, uniformed, and security-cleared technicians have completed the world’s only data centre cleaning specialist certification programme, demonstrating their proven capabilities in this demanding field. Beyond my role at Australian IT Services, I’m proud to serve as President of the AFCOM Sydney Chapter where I advocate for knowledge-sharing and skills development to meet the rapidly growing demand for talent in digital infrastructure. In 2021, I was honoured to be recognised among the iMasons 100, a global list celebrating individuals driving progress in Education, Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion, and Innovation. In 2022 I was 1 of 4 nominees, worldwide, for the iMasons Education champion award for my work on Data Centre Education initiatives here in Australia. These values guide much of my work, especially my passion for developing future-ready talent and sustainable practices in the data centre industry.
