About Tim Gore

Dr Tim Gore OBE is a Senior Associate Fellow of the School of Advanced Study, University of London. Tim uses his diplomatic, strategic and creative skills to lead knowledge intensive work in complex stakeholder environments. He has gained this knowledge and experience through senior leadership positions in France, UK, India, Jordan, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong. In these contexts he has worked closely with universities, governments, cultural and diplomatic organisations and the private sector. Tim is an active member his professional communities of knowledge diplomacy, international higher education and cultural relations. He is editor of several collections which focus on knowledge intensive practice in higher education and diplomacy, and contributes widely in writing, chairing and speaking to practice in these fields. He specialises in the creation of a distinctive creative vision and the establishment of challenging projects. Examples include securing initial funding, vision and national buy-in for the British University in Dubai, the establishment of the UK India Education and Research Initiative, the THE award winning international strategy for Greenwich University and the repositioning of the University of London Institute in Paris. His Doctorate analysed university international strategies and he also holds two masters as an applied linguist and in business administration. He speaks Arabic and French
