About Tim Griffin

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Technology at Jamestown Community College. I teach Mechanical Technology and Industrial Maintenance courses currently. My home campus is the Cattaraugus County campus in Olean, NY, and I teach some remote courses as well (includling a new Hyflex Intro to Solid Modeling course). My background is in mechanical engineering. Most recently I worked for Dresser-Rand for 19+ years in a number of positions including as a Product Manager for expanders and axial compressors with responsibility for providing ownership of business segment growth. Prior to that I had experience as Head of Services Engineering in Olean, Engineering Manager for bladed turbomachinery products, and as a rotordynamic engineer with a focus on product development and magnetic bearing integration into centrifugal compressors. I had additional experience in providing regional technical support, aftermarket client facing support, and overhaul project management for bladed turbomachinery.
