About Tim Harris

I understand systems. I identify gaps. I help things run better—especially under change. I'm a dedicated Technical Artist with a strong foundation in both 2D and 3D artistry, specializing in the intersection between art and engineering. My focus is on workflow optimization, tool development, and creating scalable solutions that reduce friction in game development pipelines. At Aristocrat Technologies Inc, I’ve developed tools, authored shaders, and collaborated across teams to ship polished, performant slot games. I regularly identify and solve pipeline inefficiencies across studios—often building the missing technical glue between disciplines. Independently, I’ve built Scouts Out, a solo-developed 2D infinite scroller now nearing release on Steam. Through it, I’ve refined my ability to design clean systems, drive content production, and own the full dev cycle—from prototyping to player feedback loops. I hold a BFA in Game Development from the Academy of Art University and am well-versed in Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Spine, Substance tools, Unity, Unreal Engine, Visual Studio, and version control systems like Git and Perforce. With a background as an OH-58D Crew Chief in the military, I bring discipline, ownership, and a focus on mission success to every team I’m on.
