About Tim Herbert

I'm a seasoned Structural Waterproofing design specialist, timber/damp surveyor and all round property preservation consultant. As the senior partner for Guardian Preservation Services, I work with clients looking for both the design and installation of structural waterproofing systems for below ground structures, and solutions for above ground timber and damp defects. Some people may think this is a boring industry, but I would disagree with them wholeheartedly as I get a huge amount of of job satisfaction. I have such a varied client base that one day I could be working with a team of architects at the design stage of a new build basement project, advising them on the most effective structural waterproofing. The next day I could be surveying a beautiful Edwardian mansion for timber or damp defects, then the following day I could be instructed by an insurance company to look at a house following a flood. I wear many hats in Guardian, Manager, Contracts Manager, Surveyor, Structural Waterproof Designer, Partner. As a result, I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and to overcome complex challenges. I have passion to maintain the reputation my parents have carefully grown over the last 39 years, so always treat clients with respect. I understand that no two are the same, so every contract needs a bespoke approach. I won Student of the Year, ranking highest in 2008 against all my peers studying to become Certified Surveyors in Remedial Treatment (CSRT) and think I gleaned this accolade through my tenacious approach and hard work.
