About Tim Horton
I am a postdoctoral scholar with an interdisciplinary background across chemistry, multiple areas of biology, and medicine. I am passionate about doing science that adds tangible value to medical care. I completed my PhD with the aspiration to cure diabetes by developing drug delivery platforms to target pancreatic beta cells using a potential regenerative therapeutic. This search led to several exciting strategies, both published and in the pipeline. I am currently working toward an understanding of how to develop new therapeutic approaches for difficult-to-treat cancers. My goal is to add a deep understanding of radiation oncology to my scientific toolkit and continually work toward chemically-guided biological solutions for human diseases.
