About Tim Huether

While at Jones Day, I was a member of the Business & Tort Litigation group, in which I represented commercial clients on sophisticated and complex civil litigation matters in federal and state courts. I have guided clients through all stages of litigation, from case development and drafting pleadings, to discovery and dispositive motions, to trial and appeal. At trial, I have conducted numerous examinations, argued evidentiary and merits motions, and provided opening and closing arguments. I have represented clients in a broad range of industries, including financial services, health care, insurance, food processing, and energy. I have provided counsel on matters involving contract disputes, corporate governance, trusts, bankruptcy, antitrust merger challenges, insurance recovery, restructuring, and employee benefit plans. I also have extensive experience defending against claims asserted under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, including class claims. I have also represented clients seeking asylum in proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Additionally, I have obtained successful settlements for clients engaged through the D.C. Children's Law Center and the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. I have also served as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center.
