About Tim Jekel
I began teaching at Community Christian School in South Glens Falls, NY in 1992. After two years teaching I earned permanent state certification in New York, but moved to Pennsylvania to be near family. In Pennsylvania, I taught as a substitute at local public schools including Mechanicsburg High School and Middle School, Cumberland Valley High School, and East Pennsboro High School. I then spent a year teaching at Harrisburg Area Community College as an adjunct teaching World History and Western Civilization. I began teaching at Bible Baptist School in January of 1997. The school is currently called West Shore Christian Academy but it does not represent a new school or a new position. The name change reflects changes in the school structure and school board. To supplement my teaching, I have lead teaching tours to Europe twice and was a participant in a teaching tour to Japan in the Summer of 2010.
