About Tim Kenny

Mr. Timothy Kenny is currently the Director of Engineering at W International, a steel fabrication facility in Charleston, SC. Current programs entail specialized fabrication for Newport News, Electric Boat and NASA. Previously, he was the Deputy Chief Engineer on Aeroscraft development. His leadership on the Pelican Program contributed meaningfully to its success. Previously, he was the technology lead on many of the Aeroscraft prototype systems, including its Landing System, Cockpit Retraction System, Buoyancy Control System, and design of the complete covering of the vehicle (Fabric skin). He has also developed a new Aeros heat-sealing process for fabric assemblies, a ballistic resistant inflatable cell, and specialized fabrics for FAA certified airships and aerostats, such as the Aeros 3200 program. Prior to joining Aeroscraft, Mr. Kenny was Mechanical Design Engineer and Chemical Engineer Assistant. Following the stages of development from concepts to final assembly, including hands on assembly and R&D testing, he is accustomed to seeing a project succeed from beginning to end. Mr. Kenny has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of South Florida, and attended the Aircraft Combat Survivability Short Course at the Naval Postgraduate School.
