Tim Kurulok is a Director of Vendor Management at ATB Financial, a leading Canadian financial institution, where he leads the strategic sourcing, vendor governance and oversight of IT partners and suppliers. He has over 25 years of experience in both IT and finance/accounting professions, with 20 years of management/leadership experience. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds an MBA from the University of Calgary with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship and finance. In his current role, he develops benchmarks, assessment criteria, and contract modifications for vendor performance and delivery, and seeks optimal value from vendor products and services. He also facilitates strategic communications with business stakeholders, IT leadership, architecture, cyber and risk management, finance, and procurement teams to ensure alignment. He supports the budgeting, financial forecasting and variance analysis of IT infrastructure and cloud costs, and contributes to the strategic, technical, and operational plans for IT products and services. He is passionate about creating value, efficiency, and innovation through effective vendor management and collaboration.
