About Tim Lamb

I harbor a deep passion for gaming and esports with a focus on tournament organizing, event management and planning, and event promotions having planned and successfully run esports-based events since early high school. From fighting game tournaments of over 250 participants to 24 hour events for hundreds of attendees, I have been involved in planning, social media, marketing, tournament organizing, streaming, and hands-on event work relating to gaming and esports, and I love every moment of it. I graduated in multimedia journalism at the Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University in December 2021, driven by my appreciation and respect for quality journalism and reporting. I've served as a leading force in revitalizing and pushing esports at WSU, serving as Vice President of the esports group on campus for two years and entering my senior year having recently been elected President of the organization. As a leader in the organization, I have accomplished much-I oversaw the growth of our university's Discord gaming server blossom to hundreds of current students and WSU alumni-I helped run numerous successful events on campus that have been live-streamed, participated in 2 years of charity work for the Extra Life organization to benefit Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Spokane by raising over $1,400-I co-wrote a budget proposal to secure the first 12 computers of WSU's esports center on Pullman's campus, having since grown to 36 computers and completely re-purposing an event room at the Chinook Student Center-I represented the program and served as an advisor for WSU's University Recreation programs related to esports. My studies at the Murrow College of Communication provided me with practical experience in journalistic writing, photography, broadcast production, and Adobe workshops such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition. My writing beats focused on local businesses in Pullman, WA. My greatest strengths in journalism was print writing, and I still write for recreation in my free time.
