About Tim Loch

With over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, I am currently Principal, Senior Vice President & Practice Leader at Avison Young, where I lead and manage the Canadian Investment Valuation & Advisory Services business. My mission is to provide high-quality valuation and appraisal services for institutionally owned and managed real estate assets throughout Canada, and across all property types, including office, industrial, retail, and multi-family. Throughout my career, I have been involved in the valuation of over $50 billion in real estate assets across the country, working with some of the largest and most active investors in Canada, such as Blackstone, Choice Properties REIT, Fiera Real Estate, Oxford Properties, Pure Industrial, Quadreal, and Realstar to name only a few. I have also gained additional experience during my career in acquisitions/dispositions, and financial underwriting/analysis of various asset types. I hold an AACI designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada, a Post Graduate Certificate in Valuation from the University of British Columbia, and a B.Comm from the University of Guelph. I am passionate about delivering value-add solutions and insights to our clients and partners, and advancing industry standards and best practices.
