About Tim Madden

I am an Avionics Test Engineer with Collins Aerospace, Melbourne, FL with 40 years of Aviation Electronics Experience. The "Cost of Test" can be reduced and made more productive through the use of modern high density data acquisition equipment. This results in "Big Analog Data" as coined by National Instruments. Making sense of Big Data remains a challenge in tomorrow's Internet of Things. The power of Time and Place is the key to making actionable information out of a sea of Big Data. Accurate stamping of absolute time and location of measurement points as metadata can be later used to index large data structures in the cloud. The result is the ability to see variations in an otherwise acceptable data set that are predictive of field failures, before they occur. Specialties: Cryogenic temperature chambers. 24/7 process automation Testing of RF products at temperature including Communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Radar equipment. Ground based HF communication installation and operation. Land Mobile HF, VHF, and UHF communications including voice and data systems. Hardened systems to support local government emergency management in the event of natural or man-caused disasters.
