About Tim Makosky

My position as Manufacturing Manager is to support and lead the programming and engineering teams. As a team, we develop the part processes and work with the Machining/MFG team to increase quality and quantity for our customers. I started in manufacturing in 2007 as a part time, off shift custodian. During my shifts I observed different machines and moving parts. This ultimately led to an interest in the actual machining process. In 2010, I redirected my priorities to learn as much as could about machining and business. I attended the NTMA Apprenticeship and Graduated in 2014 with my Journeyman Certificate. This path had opened up opportunities to become part of leadership and in 2017 became a shift lead and assistant supervisor. In 2018, I was presented an opportunity to learn to estimate. I went full speed into support mode for the factory. I found a way to use my passion for team building and was able to construct a channel for better business opportunities and connecting the people to the parts. This was a great overall experience. Even in my current role I still support our estimating department by connecting people to parts and processes. Starting in 2020 my career shifted from direct contact to production to indirect and being more behind the scene. I was presented with a chance at Leadership in our Pre-Production team. I have since developed that role into a Manufacturing Manager who leads both Engineering and Production teams.
