About Tim Moorein Remembrance

All of my professional experience has been in a manufacturing setting. At MetoKote Corporation, Lima, Ohio I started out as General Labor in 1985 and worked my way up through the production facility to Material handler and then Line Leader and eventually into the Plant Quality Dept. I handled all aspects of Quality of the Production Floor from disposition of product, SPC, Quality Documentation of New Product Launches, Control Plan, FMEA, Work Instructions, Approval of Product to Ship, Front Line Liaison to communicate with Customers to resolve any problems or questions, Training of plant personnel on Quality Related Class Material. In 1997, I was promoted into the Corporate Quality Office and was responsible for Quality System Support of several satellite facilites for MetoKote over the Eastern US, Mexico, United Kingdom, and Canada. Performing over 100 Quality System Audits for those facilites, directing the corrective action process for audit findings and supporting the facilities for Certification. In 2004, I left MetoKote for a Quality Engineer position at Hydro Aluminum, Sidney Ohio. They are a Fabrication adn assembly facility for heavy truck manufacturers, Internaional and Paccar Kenworth. Again, main responsibilites were Front Line liaison for customer issues, production floor support, Quality System Documentation, Control, Plans, FMEA, Work Instructions, Etc, Corrective Actions and directed the Supplier Quality Development Program, tracking Supplier Quality Performance and developing Supplier Improvement Plans where required. June2011, I started as Quality Engineer at Dana Corporation, Lima, Ohio. Very Excited to begin this new chapter in my career. Also very happy I am working locally. Getting more familiar with drive shaft assemblies as time goes on, but Quality Systems there are just like Quality Systems anywhere, so I believe my transition will be quick. Specialties: Quality System Auditing, and TS16949. I have found that being able to audit the Quality System, follow audit trails gather evidence of conformance has allowed me to intimately know the the Business Systems at my place of employment. It gives you an insight to the strengths and weaknesses of an organization and where product/process improvement plans might be best suited.
