WORK: Principal of Glue Inc, a marketing-communications and business-writing firm based in Toronto, Canada. In collaboration with its clients, Glue explains, empowers, engages and envisions, ultimately creating ʻcommunications that stick.ʼ PASSIONS: Wife and two sons; Art Deco architecture and design. After initially studying architecture, my career journey included stops in advertising, public relations, trade journalism and corporate communications before launching Glue Inc. full-time in early 2003. Over the years, I've seen how many different client organizations operate, and the vital role that communications plays in enhancing business performance. Although the 'language' I use at Glue now involves words and images – instead of space and light from my architecture days – my fundamental purpose has not changed: to meet human needs and solve business problems. Through Glue, I have the opportunity to collaborate with bright, passionate and innovative people working inside corporations, not-for-profits and professional-service firms and small businesses, helping influence their organization's performance.
