About Tim Obryhim

It starts and ends with storytelling. Whether it is documentary filmmaking, a non-fiction book, or a magazine story, my focus is on creating a narrative that draws you into that particular world and engages you emotionally. The experience of writing a 450-page book honed my non-fiction narrative skills. Having authored dozens of magazine-style journalistic feature stories, I know how to make a small story feel big or turn a big story into a 500-word dynamo. I am a documentary film producer skilled in fundraising, financial management, interviewing, network building, and storytelling. I bring storytelling skills to public speaking and teaching, with a demonstrated history of inspiring students. My master's degree in journalism from Harvard University's Extension School has honed my skills as a research professional. I'm always up for the challenge of telling a new story.
