About Tim Ocallaghan

I am an Experienced Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the Industrial Machine Tool and Automotive industries. A large part of this time has been spent from Design, Project and Development into production a variety of devices, mechanisms, sensors and full systems for Tier 1 suppliers and have lived in Europe and traveled there extensively for project work. I can build a concept, model 3D all ideas, implement all FMEA required changes, build requirements for functional reliability to industry norms and fully write a Technical Specification from which the finance and warranty teams can hang their hats on. I have been happy to have been involved in many patented projects where a difference is made. I ask the harder questions of everyone I meet because I have considered a lot of the Quality APQP function for product to the OEM Plant and supported initial line builds at Pilot Plants. Supported APQP Audits outside of US as the engineering Product expert as well as dealing with plenty of my own plant problem resolutions seen to finish. I was also certified in Germany as product expert for Application Engineering for Ultrasonic sensor and soft contact tactile sensors as an Application Engineer assisting implementation to Boeing equipment, as well as the US Airforce for aircraft cleaning platforms. I've even had to numbingly stand for hours at giant trade halls in Europe and US as a product expert. But I am happy knee deep in design and development dilemmas, or even when my team can push the boundaries of what's normally done. I'm as comfortable in the shop breakroom as I am in the boardroom.
