I was born in Detroit, spent my teens and early twenties in Southern California, and moved back to the Midwest to finish college. I left the doctoral program at Michigan State University to build an internet start-up that would, ironically, have delivered education via the internet (still nascent tech at the time). Alas, the business crashed with the tech bubble in I've taught philosophy at RCTC since 2006. My core classes include Ethics, Bioethics, Logic, and Introduction to Philosophy. I am a creative writer who refuses to give up on my dream of publication. My genres include crime fiction and college mystery. I enjoy gardening, home improvement, and fishing. I hope to live long enough to see the Lions win the Superbowl, but I would settle for occasional division titles.
