About Tim Onsager

Dr. Tim Onsager currently is part of the SitelogIQ team as a Client Service Manager. Prior to SitelogIQ, Dr. Onsager had been the District Administrator of the Stoughton Area School District for 12 years, boasting more than three decades of experience in education. Onsager is passionate about meeting the needs of all students – academically, socially and emotionally; supporting the next generation of educators and school staff; and building and maintaining strong, reliable relationships within the community. He believes schools have a responsibility to commit to promoting all types of equity, including reducing disparities across racial, gender and ability lines. Dr. Onsager supports aspiring superintendents through mentoring and teaching courses at Edgewood College. “I have a student-first mentality, but I also firmly believe that education is a regional resource and that we need to be preparing our students for … their next phase in life.” “What’s good for the school district and the students is also good for the community, and what is good for the community is good for the school district.” Tim started his career in 1990 and has held positions such as principal at DeForest High School (8 years), principal at Dodgeland High School (7 years), assistant principal West Bend West High School, and math teacher (7 years). Dr. Onsager holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Edgewood College, a master’s in educational leadership from Winona State University, and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from UW-La Crosse.
